As expected
If you’ve enjoyed learning beginner 1 and would like to further learn Korean comfortably while having fun, then Miss Gi’s beginner 2 is for you! Unlike the past wherein it is mostly spoonfed, this level will encourage you to actively listen during class and take down notes. You have to be present-minded which is a great way to challenge your attention span as a language learner. I personally find this teaching style effective as it makes me focused and understand the lesson better. There is also a clear level-up in difficulty, especially on the exercises given. Expect to have more conversational and situational speaking activities in class! Listening exercises will be a bit overwhelming too but it will still be fun. Due to limited class participants, the learning atmosphere is very friendly and comfortable. As Miss Gi’s Korean beginner 1 & 2 student, I am certain that I love learning Korean with my class. As expected, I can say that my Korean speaking, reading, listening, and comprehension have really improved. I can now listen to SEVENTEEN’s vlive while understanding a fraction of what they’re saying! Overall, I am looking forward to the next class!
Suggestion: add recall and summary portion on the handouts ^^
VERY SATISFACTORY
I enjoyed the Beginner Course 2 with Miss G! I was completely satisfied on how systematic she is in her way of teaching – presents grammar pattern, explains grammar pattern, give examples, let us make sentences using the grammar pattern then making us do conversations on our own infusing all the grammar patterns we have learned so far. I have improved a lot since the start of beginner 2. Miss G made me confident in speaking as she motivates her students to listen and speak more. Now, whenever I watch KDramas, I sometimes do not look at the subs and recognize the sentence patterns and understand it (I get too ecstatic to understand yehey!!!). The conversations pushed me to memorize vocabularies, too, as I want to utter more words in the conversation part of the class. We are also given assignments for our writing practice and Miss G checks them promptly, too. I am certainly recommending Miss G if you are Pinoy and want to learn Korean – very satisfactory and is affordable. I can’t wait for Beginner 3.
GREAT FOLLOW UP TO BEGINNER 1
Beginner 2 is very different from Beginner 1 in terms of format and style of teaching. Whereas Beginner 1 is more of really learning the basics of reading and writing, Beginner 2 is more of speaking and listening. Medyo nanibago din ako at first, but as the lessons progressed, I was really happy to see how my classmates and I improved. I am amazed at how much I can understand now from the listening exercises. I especially like the speaking practices where the teacher gives a situation and we make a dialogue out of it. Not too easy and not too hard — just the right amount of challenge to keep you on your toes.
As always, our instructor, Ms. G, is there to patiently guide us and correct us. You won’t be scared to ask questions or make a mistake because as she says, this is how we learn. And just like Beginner 1, this course makes learning Korean fun and enjoyable. Looking forward to continuing my journey with E.K.! 감사합니다!
The Best Sonsaengnim!
Never encountered someone as patient and understanding as Miss G when it comes to teaching Hangugeo. I have also learned reading Hangeul, speaking and understanding vocabs because of her help. Miss G always made sure that we learned from the lesson before jumping to the next. This is the best experience for me, I don’t get too conscious in the whole class because of her solid support.
Love it! 🤍
Korean Beginner 2 was more challenging but Ms. G has a fun way to teach the lessons. She always starts with real-life scenarios before jumping into each topic. Beginner 2 has more conversational activities (which I really enjoyed). In this course, it really motivated us to take time in studying/memorizing the vocabs so we can have more Korean words that we can use these during speaking exercises.
Ms. G was very patient when it comes to teaching. We don’t move forward to the next topic unless everything was clear to us. I personally struggled with listening exercises but Ms. G helped me along the way. I was also more comfortable in sharing my difficulties because Ms. G was so approachable and she also gave us some tips. Thank you Ms. G! You’re the best!! 🤍
All in all, I really enjoyed this class. Aside from the main lessons, we also shared some stories (mostly travel experiences). My classmates were also nice. I enjoyed interacting with them during the class. As a student since Beginner 1, I’m really happy to see my improvements. Looking forward to the next class! See you in Beginner 3, Ms. G! 🤍
Continuing my Korean language journey with Korean Beginner 2
I have just finished the Korean Beginner 2 class last week and I highly recommend this course to those who would like to continue their Korean language journey. Beginner 2 is an exciting class because this class is more on the application part of the things that we learned from Beginner 1 plus the new grammar and vocabularies that were introduced. We were already able to compose our own sentences in Korean and also translate the given Korean sentences. There are lots of speaking, writing, reading, and listening exercised that helped us hone our skills. As I continued my Korean language journey with Miss Ghie, I really saw improvements with my skills. When watching my fave’s videos without subtitles, I can already pick up some words or sentences and understand them (of course I can only understand a few but still, this is an improvement compared to before). Also, when reading posts in Twitter, Bubble, Weverse, etc., there are already posts that I can already understand without pressing the translate button.
My next step would be enrolling to Korean Beginner 3. I really like the teaching approach of Miss Ghie because in her classes, we are able to study Korean in a chill and non intimidating way. She also guides us patiently as we try to construct our own sentences and understand the given Korean sentences.
Thank you again, Miss Ghie. See you in Beginner 3 and beyond! <3
glad I continued the course!
I continued this course immediately after taking Beginner 1 and im glad I did. The progress I made in this class from Beginner 1 were leaps! I was able to construct sentences (although it takes a while 😅) from the grammar lessons we had. We’re able to combine different phrases and were able to conduct on the spot talking exercises (my favorite activity
). Ms G was an incredibly great help especially when we’re stuck remembering what’s right or helping us better express what we want to express.
Highly recommended class especially if you’re in it to learn but dont like the whole academe-like pressure of it all ❤️
Thanks ms g!!! See you for beginner 3!!! 😅
